The Safari Zone events in Europe are meant to give you trainers the opportunity to catch regional Pokémon. A few of the Pokémon GO events have now been postponed.
In Europe, you can expect some cool Safari Zone events in the coming months, where you can catch monsters that have not been available in Europe so far. This action by Niantic has already received a lot of positive feedback from trainers who are excited about the rare monsters.
To provide you with the best possible gaming experience, the Pokémon GO team had to postpone some events to a later date. This includes the events in Amsterdam and Prague.
Safari Zones Postponed – Prague, Amsterdam, and More
In a blog post, the Pokémon GO team explained that some Safari events have been postponed to a later date. The exact reasons for this were not specified by the team. It is about providing you with the best possible gaming experience.
The events on August 5 in Copenhagen and Prague and on August 12 in Stockholm and Amsterdam are affected. These events will be postponed to a later date in the fall. The developers did not provide an exact date.
NOT affected are the events in Japan on August 14 and the events on September 16 in France, Spain, and Germany. These are apparently taking place as planned.
The Pokémon GO team apologizes in the blog post for the inconvenience caused. They emphasize that your priority is to offer you Pokémon GO trainers a great experience. Furthermore, they write in the blog post:
As a special surprise, Pokémon that can only be seen very rarely in Europe will appear for a short time in various European cities. Keep your eyes open!
It is unclear whether an extra event is planned or if the developers will once again emphasize that regional Pokémon will be available during the Safari events. We are curious when Niantic will provide us with more information about it.
The Safari Zone event in Oberhausen, by the way, has limited, free tickets available.
