In Pokémon GO there is a new evaluation system. With this you can evaluate your Pokémon much faster and, above all, more clearly. We show you how it works.
What kind of system is this? So far, you could ask the team leader for an evaluation and only received 3 sentences that indicated a rough IV. You could recognize Pokémon with 100% IV, but all other values could not be identified clearly.
Now there is a new system that shows you the individual values of the Pokémon very precisely and you can evaluate your Pokémon much faster. You no longer need an extra app for this, everything happens directly in the game.
This is how the new evaluation system works
What does the system look like? You simply click on the evaluate button for the Pokémon and the new system opens directly. It shows you without another click what IV the Pokémon has and what value has how many points.

While the exact number of the IV is still not displayed, you can now see at a glance whether the Pokémon is good or bad.
How does it work? Each value gets its own bar in the system. This bar fills up with the score of the respective value. The closer the value is to 15, the fuller the bar is. When the bar is full, the Pokémon has the value at 15. It doesn’t get any better than that.
There are also stars. For each value that is above 10, the Pokémon gets one star. So if the monster has 3 stars, each value is above 10.
This is how fast the system works now: The evaluation is now significantly faster, as you can also keep the evaluation mask open and still switch between Pokémon. Thus, you don’t have to press the evaluation button for each monster again, but just swipe along.
The stars always indicate when a Pokémon is usable or not. You can safely discard any monster with only one star. With 3 stars, you should take a closer look at whether it can still be useful.
This way you can recognize 100% IV faster: Pokémon with perfect IV can now be recognized even faster. They now have a red circle instead of an orange one with stars. As soon as a Pokémon has this red circle, you should keep it.
Are evaluation apps now redundant? They are definitely losing their usability. With the system in the game, you can evaluate the Pokémon a bit faster and especially separate the bad Pokémon from the good ones.
If it comes to precise evaluations, the apps could still be useful, as you still have to look closely at the in-game system to see what values the Pokémon has. But even this should be learned quickly with a little practice.
When will this system come to the game? The new evaluation is coming with the update 0.149.0. This is currently being rolled out and is already available for some Android users. iOS users will have to wait a few more days. By the weekend, however, the evaluation should also be possible here.
What do you think of the new system? Does it replace your IV calculator?
