What kind of event is this? Community Day is an event where one Pokémon is in focus. The event lasts three hours, during which the Pokémon appears not only in very high numbers but also with a significantly increased shiny chance.
In addition to the regular Community Day, there is also the Community Day Classic. This differs from the regular Community Day in that it features a Pokémon that has already had a Community Day in the past.

Community Day with Viscora
Which Pokémon is featured in the next Community Day? The first is Viscora, the Dragon Pokémon from Generation 6. It can evolve into Viscargot and then into Viscogon.
The Community Day with Viscora will take place on Sunday, June 9, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM.

How strong is Viscora? Viscogon, the final evolution of Viscora, is a very strong Pokémon. As a Dragon attacker, it does quite well, although there are indeed stronger alternatives in the list of best attackers in Pokémon GO.
However, for use in battle leagues, Viscogon is quite an all-rounder. While it performs reasonably well in the Ultra League, it is among the best Pokémon you can rely on in the Great and Master Leagues.
Community Day Classic with Feurigel
Which Pokémon is featured in the next Community Day Classic? The star of the next Community Day Classic is Feurigel. The starter Pokémon from Generation 2 is a Fire type and can evolve into Igelavar and then into Tornupto.
The Community Day Classic with Feurigel will take place on Saturday, June 22, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM.

How strong is Feurigel? Both Feurigel and its evolutions are not particularly strong attackers. They play a minor role in neither raids nor battle leagues.
Therefore, this Community Day may be more worthwhile for you if you are a collector and are after the shiny variants of Feurigel, Igelavar, and Tornupto.
