In Pokémon GO a new season is coming: “World of Wonders.” A teaser trailer provides the first hints about what we can expect.
When does “World of Wonders” start? The new season starts on March 1, 2024, and runs until June 1, 2024.
Niantic revealed this in a short teaser trailer on X.com. There, the new title “World of Wonders,” in the German version “Welt voller Wunder,” is seen for the first time. We are embedding the corresponding post with the teaser here for you:
The teaser also shows at least two hints about what we can expect in the new season.
World of Wonders: Teaser shows Ultra Wormhole for Pokémon GO
What can be seen? At the end of the teaser, an Ultra Wormhole opens, as we first saw in Pokémon GO in 2022. At that time, the Ultra Beasts broke through there. Monsters like Shabelle, Schlingking, or Anego dominated the raids during that time. Additionally, there was a research surrounding Cosmog, Lunala, and Solgaleo – the opponents of the Ultra Beasts.
What exactly the wormhole means is still unclear. Now one can speculate: It is possible that the old Ultra Beasts are returning – or we might see the debut of some new Ultra Beasts. This would also fit a leak from January.
In general, there are definitely still some Ultra Beasts missing in Pokémon GO, which were also hinted at with quite impressive teasers back then. These include monsters like Muramua, Kopplosio, Venicro, and Agoyon.
Read more about the previously hinted Ultra Beasts here. And the legendary monster Necrozma, which is associated with the Ultra Beasts, is also still missing in Pokémon GO.
What is the second hint in the trailer? Nidoran plays a significant role in the trailer. There are also some flying Pokémon visible – such as Taubsi, Tauboss, and Dragoran. Notably: These are all Kanto Pokémon from the first generation. It is possible that particular attention will be paid to this.
One thing is certain: In the coming days, perhaps even hours, many more details are likely to emerge. After all, the season start is already set for March 1. One should also keep an eye on the Pokémon Presents on February 27. This day is known as “Pokémon Day” and it is quite possible that new information will be announced.
As always, we will keep you updated! Let’s take a quick look back: The Sinnoh Tour took place over the weekend. If you’re still missing an Adventure Effect from it, find out here what you can still do.
