When does the new season start? The new season starts on December 3, 2024, and runs until March 4, 2025.

Bonuses bring extra raid pass
These are the bonuses: The most exciting bonus is an additional free raid pass per day, which you receive by spinning stops or gyms. This allows you to complete one more free raid each day.
Additionally, more stardust for victories against Team GO Rocket and from gifts.
New Pokémon and strong returnees
We will see the debut of Fatalitee and Mortipot. Furthermore, Regice, Registeel, and Regirock will appear in crypto raids, and they will also be available as Shiny.
In general, there will be further rotations in the wild and in eggs.
New Dynamax and Gigantamax Pokémon
The Dynamax feature introduced in the last season will be supplied with new Pokémon. Throughout the season, we will encounter:

First teaser for the new season Dual Destiny was released earlier
In addition to the trailer above, a teaser was already released earlier. This sparked speculation. You can watch it here again:
This is shown in the teaser: The video did not reveal too much. Very prominent are the large rings that initiate various scene changes. These hinted at the now confirmed Hoopa. This Pokémon is directly connected with ring-shaped portals, and since its appearance in Elite Raids, Hoopa has not been seen.
Title and new app icon: You can already update Pokémon GO, which also brings the new app icon. The focus is on the colors black and white. The icon can also be found in the Dual Destiny logo. Here there could be a hint about the black-and-white games in which Reshiram, Zekrom, and Kyurem were the legendary Pokémon. At least Zekrom and Reshiram are now confirmed as part of the season due to the trailer.
Kyurem is still missing, but would be particularly interesting. Just over a year ago, Pokémon GO accidentally distributed the fused version of Kyurem, and then quickly removed it from the game. Now some trainers (such as on reddit) hope that it is finally time for the Pokémon to return. However, nothing has been officially announced here yet.
New Gigantamax Pokémon? A teaser was already released on November 25, 2024, hinting at another Gigantamax Pokémon: Maritellit.
This was not directly connected to the new season. Therefore, it is also unclear if and when Gigantamax Maritellit will appear in Pokémon GO. After all, Pokémon GO has often teased content that only appeared much later, like Mega Mewtwo, which we are still waiting for today. Additionally, Gigantamax Lapras has now been confirmed as a new Gigantamax Pokémon in this season.
