In Pokémon GO the next raid boss for September and October has been announced. The Altered Form of Giratina will be coming and will debut as a Shiny.
When is Giratina coming? The Altered Form will be the next legendary raid boss. Starting from September 23 at 10 PM – that is when Mewtwo disappears – it will be available. It will remain for almost a month until October 17.
It will be the first time that a form of Giratina will also be available as a Shiny. Since you have almost a month, you will have good chances of getting a Shiny.

What does the Shiny look like? You will easily recognize the Shiny version. The areas of Giratina’s body that are normally red are now light blue, and its entire body is light gold instead of gray.
Will there be raid hours? In addition to the raid hour with Mewtwo on October 8, there will also be such an event with Giratina. Already next week, on September 25, you will find increased rates of Giratina starting at 6 PM for one hour.
Other raid hours are not known. It remains to be seen whether this will be the only one. After all, there was recently almost every Wednesday a raid hour.
Is Giratina worth it? The Altered Form of Giratina is unfortunately the inferior form. The Origin Form, however, is one of the best attackers of Ghost type.
The Altered Form has worse stats and does not have good moves. As a fighter, you won’t be able to use the Altered Form unless there are changes to its moves.
How do I defeat Giratina? This Pokémon is of Ghost and Dragon type and has numerous weaknesses. It is susceptible to the types Dark, Dragon, Fairy, Ghost, and Ice. The best counters are Rayquaza, Palkia, and Salamence.
You will need 3 good players for Giratina. If you use the right counters, you can defeat it fairly easily in a trio. With just two players, you can only manage it in windy weather and with Dragon-type Pokémon.
