On Sunday you can play the research day with Myrapla in Pokémon GO. What happens there?
When does the research day run? The research day with Myrapla runs on Sunday, September 17, 2023 from 14:00 to 17:00.
You have about three hours to secure the bonuses of the event. Unlike a Community Day, however, the day does not revolve around wild Myrapla spawns, but rather research tasks.
What the research day with Myrapla brings
These are the bonuses: You can get research tasks from Pokéstops that will give you encounters with Myrapla. There is an increased shiny chance for Myrapla – if you don’t have the shiny Pokémon yet, this is a perfect opportunity.
In addition, the XXS and XXL versions of Myrapla will also be more common. This should be interesting if you want to participate in the showcases, as Myrapla will be the showcase monster at the event.
Additionally, Myrapla can carry Sun Stones when you catch them, which is helpful for evolving to Blubella.
There are also double catch stardust on top. In the wilderness, the following spawns:
- Paras*
- Bluzuk*
- Knofensa*
- Knilz*
- Roselia*
- Tuska*
- Tarnpignon*
- and Frubberl
Pokémon marked with an asterisk* can be shiny. However, increased chances only apply to Myrapla.
Is the event worth it? Myrapla and its evolutions are not exactly among the best attackers in Pokémon GO, so don’t expect to strengthen your team. However, shiny collectors are exactly right on this day, as the shiny monster will be easier to catch.
Furthermore, the event is worth it if you need stardust, because: There is double stardust, and wild spawns of Paras, Knilz, and Tarnpignon, which generally provide more stardust when caught.
