What’s new? Usually, Niantic announces a research breakthrough shortly before the start of each month. Now, the breakthroughs for October and November 2022 were revealed in September. They can be found in the game under the “News” tab.

Research Breakthrough in October 2022 and November 2022
Breakthrough in October: From October 1st at 10:00 PM German time until November 1st at 10:00 PM German time, you will encounter Ninjatom in the research breakthrough.
You will receive a smoke as an item.
Breakthrough in November: From November 1st, 2022, at 10:00 PM German time until December 1st, 2022, at 10:00 PM German time, you will have an encounter with Starmie in the research breakthrough.
You will receive a star piece as an item during the breakthrough.

Generally, players say that Ninjatom is at least rare. This way, you can reliably fill your Pokédex with specimens of this monster. People are happy about Starmie for the Stardust. However, they wished for other and stronger Pokémon in the selection of breakthroughs.
