This is the research breakthrough in June: From June 1 at 10:00 PM you will receive the water Pokémon Perlu in the research breakthrough. It replaces Galar-Ponita, which has been available in the breakthrough so far.
In addition to Perlu, there are more rewards:
- A free remote raid pass with each breakthrough – even if you already have the maximum number of passes
- Double XP for completing the research breakthrough
Research breakthrough with Perlu – Is it worth getting?
Here’s how worthwhile Perlu is: The water-type Pokémon is rather rare in Pokémon GO. However, its evolutions Aalabyss and Saganabyss are not particularly strong and play no role in the meta. From a strength standpoint, Perlu is therefore not worth it.
You can also catch Perlu in its shiny form. Those who missed the quest day with Perlu and do not own a shiny yet could be rewarded in the research breakthrough.
Here’s how strong the other bonuses are: The research breakthrough becomes really interesting thanks to the strong bonuses. You will receive a remote raid pass each time, which normally costs 200 coins. Additionally, double XP is available so you can earn the necessary XP for level 50. The breakthrough is definitely worth it just for the remote raid pass.
Here’s how to achieve the research breakthrough: You need to complete field research on 7 different days. On the 7th day, you will be rewarded with the breakthrough that is ready for you to claim.
In general, you do not have to do anything complicated for the research breakthrough. It is worth it this month if you complete at least one quest each day.
