Research breakthrough with Larvitar in July
When is the breakthrough available? You will receive Larvitar from the breakthrough starting July 1 at 10 PM German time. So if you complete a quest before 10 PM and open the box, Snubbull is still waiting for you.
The breakthrough is available for one month and will disappear on August 1 at 10 PM.
Is Larvitar worth it in the breakthrough? The Pokémon can be encountered as Shiny, and its final evolution Tyranitar is among the best attackers of Rock and Dark type. All of this speaks in favor of Larvitar.
On the other hand, it has already had a Community Day and many trainers probably have more than enough candies already. The Shiny form is also no longer really special.
If you missed the Community Day, then the breakthrough may indeed please you.
Trainers demand legendary: With Larvitar, the next Pokémon appears in the breakthrough that is not legendary. While we had legendary Pokémon in the breakthrough regularly last year, there have been no legendary Pokémon for months now.
