What is the research breakthrough? Trainers in Pokémon GO have the opportunity to receive and complete research tasks daily. For each day a quest has been completed, there is a stamp. Those who collect seven of them can look forward to a special reward in the form of a research breakthrough.
In this, you will encounter a specific Pokémon that changes monthly. On the evening of January 25, 2022, Niantic announced the monster for the research breakthrough in February 2022.

Which monster is in the research breakthrough? In February, you can encounter the Psychic-type Pokémon Psiau in the research breakthrough. This Pokémon has only been available from eggs or occasionally in raids. Starting February, it will also be available in its shiny form for the first time.
The Pokémon from Generation 6 can be evolved into Psiaugon with the help of 50 candies, which visually differ by gender.
When can you get Psiau? Psiau will be available in the research breakthrough starting February 1, 2022, at 10:00 PM local time. You have until March 1, 2022, at 10:00 PM local time to encounter it there.

You can track your progress in the “Field” view of the game. Once you have collected all the daily stamps, you can claim your research breakthrough.
