In Pokémon GO, the major egg change has removed a total of 90 Pokémon. This has made some eggs really good now. We provide you with the overview.
What happened? A few days ago, Pokémon GO made significant changes to eggs. Initially, it seemed like not much would change, but now there are indeed major changes.
Analysts from TheSilphRoad have discovered that a total of 90 Pokémon were removed from the eggs. The egg pools have thus become significantly smaller. Especially the pool of 10 km eggs has shrunk considerably, and many duds have been removed.
These annoying Pokémon are now gone
This is what has changed with the 2 km eggs: 29 Pokémon have been removed from the 2 km egg pool. This includes the starters from Gen 1 to Gen 3. Additionally, baby Pokémon have been removed, especially many Pokémon from the first generations. This includes, among others, Krabby, Machollo, Traunfugil, and Quiekel.
You can only find 13 Pokémon in the 2 km eggs now. This includes the starters from Gen 4 and Gen 5. Additionally, some potential Shinies and the only “dud” is Felilou from Gen 5. It is weak and cannot be shiny.
This is what has changed with the 5 km eggs: A total of 46 Pokémon have been removed from this huge egg pool. This primarily includes monsters from the first generations. Some examples are Onix, Fukano, Sniebel, or Nasgnet.
42 Pokémon are still included in this pool, making it the largest egg pool in Pokémon GO now. You can primarily find the regional Pokémon (only in their respective regions), rarer Shinies from the first generations like Sleima or Sichlor, and some Pokémon from Gen 4 that cannot be shiny yet.
This is what has changed with the 7 km eggs: Actually, nothing is new here. You can still find all baby Pokémon and the Alolan Pokémon.
This is what has changed with the 10 km eggs: The egg pool here has more than halved. 15 Pokémon have been removed. This also includes some hated objects like Dratini, Porygon, or Trasla. Any Pokémon that had a Community Day before will no longer be found in these eggs.
Only 12 Pokémon are left in the 10 km eggs, making them really strong. The only duds are likely Barschwa and Schilterus, as all other Pokémon belong to Gen 5 or are not available in the wild or are extremely rare.
Which eggs are worth it the most? The 10 km eggs definitely promise many highlights. The chance of obtaining Pokémon like Kaumalat, which can now be shiny, or Kapuno should now be significantly higher, as there are no longer so many duds in the eggs.
The 2 and 5 km eggs have also become significantly more attractive now. The overcrowded pools have become emptier and you can now better hope for desired Pokémon.
This is generally noticeable: Niantic has clearly focused on newer Pokémon. Monsters from Gen 1 and Gen 2 are now only minimally represented. Pokémon that have already had a Community Day have mostly been removed. During the Community Day in December, you could also secure a ton of candies there.
