When does the voting take place? The date for the voting of the Community Days is also known. On August 23 at 3:00 AM German time, the voting goes live on Twitter.
You will be able to cast one vote for exactly 24 hours and help decide which Community Days will take place.
Voting will only take place on Twitter. You need an account there to cast your vote. You cannot vote for the Community Day in the game itself.
Here is the criticism: Trainers are complaining on reddit that voting can only be done on Twitter. After all, many trainers do not have a Twitter account and would not see the voting. It is being demanded that voting should be possible in the game.
A corresponding thread on reddit has already received over 5000 upvotes.
The voting system has always caused problems. During the first voting in February 2020, you could still vote in the app itself. You were supposed to complete quests that were then counted for the respective Pokémon. You could theoretically vote an unlimited number of times if you found enough quests for your desired Pokémon. At that time, it was criticized that quests for some Pokémon were significantly rarer than for others.
After this criticism, Niantic shifted voting to Twitter. There, the Community Days for June and July were determined. Here, the same feedback was received as now: Voting should not be done on Twitter, but directly in the game.
Recently, there was also criticism of the replacement event for the GO Fest. Many trainers said there were simply too few Shinys.
