In the latest update of Pokémon GO, there is a change that is not well received at all. Niantic is reducing the visibility distance.
What’s new: The update 0.133.0 has brought some changes to Pokémon GO. Some aspects of PvP have been altered and players can now hope for new Pokémon.
One thing that doesn’t really stand out at first glance is causing frustration for many players. The visibility distance in the game has been reduced after it was expanded just a few weeks ago.

How it was before: In the update released in mid-January, players were excited because the visibility distance in the game was expanded. One could clearly see more gyms and PokéStops from a distance than before.
On Reddit, many players expressed their enthusiasm for the feature, as they could identify more gyms and therefore more raids. Better coordination for the raids was the result.
There was a premonition: Some players didn’t really believe in this change and considered it a bug. The players were right, as the latest update has reduced the visibility distance again.
Players report: Some players have already downloaded the update via an APK file and can report on the reduction.
The player “Mondogarp” writes on Reddit that the visibility distance was not only reverted to the standard but was even reduced: “I had already seen three gyms from home before the expansion. Now I can only see one gym. So the visibility distance has been further reduced.”

Under the thread by “Mondogarp”, many players shared their frustration. It is not understandable why such a celebrated change is simply altered again.
Players hope for a mistake: User “hmalter” still hopes for a mistake on Niantic’s part: “This must be a bug. It has to be like this. I hope it changes with the final release of the update!”
“er1end” writes: “What? My goodness, this change was the best thing Niantic has done in a long time and now it is smaller than before? This is unacceptable.”
