In Pokémon GO, the Spotlight Hour is taking place again today. This time, Nockchan, Kicklee, and a sending bonus are waiting for you.
What kind of event is this? The Spotlight Hour is an event that takes place every Tuesday. In this event, there is one or more Pokémon that are in the spotlight and can be found almost everywhere during the duration of the event.
In addition to the Pokémon that are in focus, there is also a bonus during the 60 minutes of the event that you can benefit from.
Today, Nockchan and Kicklee, the two fighting Pokémon from Generation 1, will be featured in the Spotlight Hour. Neither of the two Pokémon has an evolution.
Spotlight Hour on May 7 – Start and Bonuses
When does the Spotlight Hour start? As usual, the Spotlight Hour starts at 6:00 PM and will run until 7:00 PM.
What bonuses are active? Today, there will be a bonus for sending Pokémon during the Spotlight Hour. If you send Pokémon to the Professor during the event, you will receive double the amount of candies for it.
Can you catch Shiny Nockchan and Kicklee? Yes. If you’re lucky, you may also encounter the Shiny variants of both Pokémon today.
Is the Spotlight Hour worth it? Neither Nockchan nor Kicklee are particularly strong attackers. They are neither suitable for use in the Battle Leagues nor are they among the best attackers in Pokémon GO.
If you’re after Shiny Pokémon, this event could be an opportunity for you. Although the chances of finding Shiny variants are not increased during the event, the large number of spawns gives you better chances of encountering a Shiny specimen.
If you have accumulated some Pokémon in your Pokémon box that you want to send to the Professor, the Spotlight Hour is ideal. With the candy bonus for sending, you will receive not just 1, but 2 candies per Pokémon.
This is especially easy if you have marked the Pokémon with a tag beforehand.
