Catching raid bosses in Pokémon GO can be quite challenging. We will show you a trick on how to catch the Pokémon more easily.

This is what the trick shows: For raid bosses, balls are a limited resource. Therefore, it is particularly important that you hit the balls and that the Pokémon does not fend them off.

To prevent that from happening, there is a very simple trick. With it, you can set the circle from the Pokémon and with a bit of practice, hit every Pokémon fabulously.

Set the circle and hit fabulously

Here’s how the trick works: This trick is somewhat older, but many trainers still don’t know it. We will introduce it to you step-by-step:

1. Encounter the raid boss and be ready to catch
2. Hold the ball down so that the circle around the raid boss changes
3. Release the ball when the circle is big enough for you to hit great/fabulously – Make sure to release the ball where it usually lies, otherwise it will fall to the ground
4. Wait until the raid boss performs an attack
5. Throw the ball exactly at the moment when the raid boss has finished its attack
6. The preset circle remains intact, and the raid boss will then be hit accordingly.

What you need to keep in mind: The trick applies not only to raid bosses but to any Pokémon. It takes some practice to find the right moment to throw.

It must still be in the attack because otherwise, the circle changes again. You also need to be quick when throwing, otherwise, the circle will also change, and the Pokémon can start an attack again.

The trick is particularly important for Pokémon that are hard to hit.

What does the trick do? Often, you only have about 10 balls in a raid. If you have practiced diligently, you can hit each of these balls fabulously, massively increasing your catching chance for the Pokémon.

Often, balls are fended off by the raid boss through an attack. This cannot happen with the proper use of the trick.
