In Pokémon GO, new raid bosses are waiting for you, and especially a boss from the 5th generation is sure to surprise. We will show you the bosses and reveal which ones are worth it.
Why are there new bosses? The evolution event has started in Pokémon GO and brings along many spawns and quests as well as new raid bosses.
These revolve around special evolutions and bring many potential shinies.
All Raid Bosses for the Evolution Event in Pokémon GO
| Raid Level | Pokémon |
| Level 1 Raid (red egg) | Burmy* (All Cloaks) Trasla* Barschwa* |
| Level 2 Raid (red egg) | Schlurp Yanma* Tangela Flunkifer* Elektek |
| Level 3 Raid (yellow egg) | Onix* Porygon Sichlor* Alolan Raichu* |
| Level 4 Raid (yellow egg) | Togetic Alolan Marowak* Stolloss Despotar Stalobor |
| Level 5 Raid (black egg) | Terrakium |
All bosses marked with an asterisk (*) can also be encountered as shinies.
Which bosses are worth it? A special highlight this time is Stalobor. This 5th generation Pokémon has never been in raids and is incredibly useful. It is a better ground attacker than Groudon and should not be missing from any battle team.
Good attackers or those that become good attackers through evolution are Despotar, Elektek, and Tangela. It is also worth investing raid passes here, as they are among the best attackers in the game.
The legendary raid boss Terrakium is still a good choice. It is the best rock attacker after Rameidon and is worth it.
Which potential shinies should you raid here? The new shiny Burmy is interesting. Especially the Burmy with the sand cloak is likely to be interesting, as it can be rarely encountered outside the event in Germany. Here, one should take every chance to get a shiny.
How long will the bosses be available? These raid bosses will be active until December 12. The evolution event ends at 10 PM on that day, and you can challenge the old bosses surrounding Terrakium again.
A significant bug fix has also been announced for 2019:
