Trainer battles in Pokémon GO are not boring! This is proven by numerous tournaments that are also held in Germany.
What kind of tournaments are these? The American website TheSilphRoad regularly organizes PvP tournaments in Pokémon GO. These take place all over the world. We reported on the beginnings back in January, but now it is also gaining momentum in Germany.
All over Germany, venues are hosting their own tournaments and participating in TheSilphRoad’s regulations. We will show you how these tournaments are run here.
These are the PvP tournaments in Germany
Who organizes the tournaments? Every month, TheSilphRoad announces a new cup. The rules are then established. For example, every month features different types with which you can battle.
Once the cup is known, each community organizes itself. They set the place and time, and then battles are fought according to TheSilphRoad’s rules.
How is it received in Germany? All over Germany, small tournaments are held. Communities regularly report about their successful tournaments.
PvP tournament in Mainz – A great success
So we can give you an example of a successful tournament, we spoke with the organizer of the Mainz PvP tournament.
So many people were there: A total of 3 tournaments have already been held in Mainz, so they participated in every call from TheSilphRoad and even organized their own tournament.
- Boulder Cup: 41 players
- Free for all: 39 players
- Twilight Cup: 46 players
Here’s what else is in store: At the tournament, it’s not just about battling; there is also plenty of interaction. Additionally, there are themed treats related to the cup.
In the end, there is even something to win. This is provided by the organizers. So whoever wins the tournament will also be rewarded.
Not just in Mainz: The organizer of the tournament is also in contact with other communities. Tournaments are held in many cities throughout Germany. There are also small prizes to be won there.
