The developers know that new features can be positively received by the community. They are planning coop gameplay for spring that aims to bring players back outside.

John Hanke, the CEO of Niantic, visited a Reddit user’s high school and answered some questions from the audience that was present. During the Q&A session, Hanke explained that he couldn’t reveal any secrets regarding Pokémon GO but confirmed a few speculations. As we already know, the developers are working on improving arena battles. In a previous interview, Hanke had already mentioned that the team is not satisfied with the current arenas and sees a lot of potential for improvement.
He also mentioned that they are working on another feature that players have been waiting for a long time. 1 against 1 battles are in development and will be released “very soon.” Hanke did not provide a specific date, but trainers on Reddit are already very excited that they won’t have to wait much longer.
