Pokémon GO announced on Twitter that at launch only players at Level 40 can participate in Trainer Battles. Afterward, more players will be added who can take part in the new PvP battles.
The Twitter account of Pokémon GO has provided the first info regarding the release of PvP. They reveal that only players at maximum Level 40 can play the new Trainer Battles.
We will tell you why this is the case and when the other players will be able to join.
PvP initially only for Level 40 players
This has been announced by Pokémon GO: On Twitter, Pokémon GO stated: “Trainer Battles will be released gradually in Pokémon GO. Trainers at Level 40 will have access to the feature first. This ensures that the feature functions as expected before we make it available to more trainers.”
This is what it means for players: Anyone who is not yet Level 40 will have to wait. Level 40 players have the advantage at launch. This is, however, nothing new.
At the release of many major features for Pokémon GO, Niantic had the new features tested first by Level 40 players. This was the case, for example, with the friends system. Also, submitting PokéStops, which is available in some countries, can only be done at Level 40.
Do I have to be Level 40 for PvP now? Those who are not yet at maximum level do not have to rush. If the feature runs smoothly, Niantic will gradually lower the requirements for PvP.
This usually only takes a few hours or days. Those with a bit of patience do not need to be Level 40.
When will the Trainer Battles arrive? It won’t be long now until PvP arrives. In the latest update, all details about Trainer Battles have already been found. This update just needs to be made available to all players and then it can begin. This could already happen this week.
At Christmas, Botogel returns to Pokémon GO.
