The new message shows: A new message from Professor Willow deals with Team GO Rocket. According to this, the professor has found strange objects among the Rocket grunts that he has dubbed “mysterious components.” They are made of metal and seem to have some kind of screen.
The devices are apparently used by Team GO Rocket to take over PokéStops and scoop up resources. However, according to the message, there is likely another use – but what?
Players are puzzling over the message: According to the message, Professor Willow wants to use the components to find out where Team GO Rocket is hiding. It is possible that they represent collectible objects to get to the Rocket hideout, where you could then challenge Giovanni. Or do the objects have a completely different purpose?
On reddit, there is already lively discussion. Player “Pomenti” suggests that the objects might be related to Arceus. The Pokémon could change its type in the classic games using various plates.
“Runminndor,” on the other hand, hopes that one might even be able to take over PokéStops using the devices. There, one could then, like a Rocket grunt, be challenged by other players.
