In Pokémon GO the Power Plant event is active from January 19. We show you here the new quests (Field Research), their rewards, and the Raid bosses in summary.
Why are there new research tasks and bosses? For larger events in Pokémon GO, the developers activate special quests that reward you with Pokémon from the event. Sometimes the rewards for existing quests simply change, but there are also new tasks. These tasks are field research that you can obtain by spinning photo discs at gyms or PokéStops.
Check here for all Pokémon currently available in raids and as rewards from research. The event starts on January 19 at 10:00 a.m. local time and is active until February 1 at 10:00 a.m. local time.
Pokémon marked with a star (*) in the article can be encountered as Shiny.
New Field Research Tasks in the Power Plant Event
The new quests:
- Catch 5 Electric-type Pokémon
- Encounter with Frizelbliz*, Wattzapf or Eguana
- Walk 1 kilometer
- Encounter with Eguana
- Walk 2 kilometers
- Encounter with Alolan Sleima* or Unratütox*
- Walk 4 kilometers
- Encounter with Emolga
- Land 3 curveball throws
- Encounter with Magnetilo* or Voltobal*
- Take a snapshot of a wild Electric-type Pokémon
- Mega Energy for Ampharos or Voltenso
New Raid Bosses in the Power Plant Event

On January 24, the second part of the Power Plant event in Pokémon GO begins. The Raid bosses will change and Team GO Rocket will also appear more frequently in the game. The second part of the event is also interesting for you because during this time you can use Charge TMs to teach Shadow Pokémon different moves than Frustration.
