“You don’t have to enter the police station”
In Australia, aspiring Pokemon trainers are already seen in large numbers in the wild – you can watch them call out random attacks while pointing their fingers into the void. As an outsider, it can be confusing, as you don’t have a view of the mobile screen of the Pokemon trainers that makes the little monsters visible in the wild. The Australian Facebook page Northern Territory Police, Fire and Emergency Services gave important advice yesterday to Pokemon Go players who walked into the police station Darwin to catch Pokemon:
“To all the aspiring Pokemon trainers out there using Pokemon Go: Even though the Darwin police station is displayed as a PokeStop, you do not have to enter the building to get the Pokeballs. Additionally, it’s good if you take your eyes off your phone before crossing the street and look left and right. The Sandamer won’t run away so quickly.
Take care of yourselves and catch them all!”
A nice message to the young trainers here. At PokeStops, you have to be a few meters away from the indicated GPS position to receive a reward – but it is usually not necessary to enter buildings. So if you don’t want to have trouble with Officer Rocky, you might want to think about where you catch your Pokemon in the future.
