Pokémon GO can be played particularly relaxed when you are a passenger in a car and can collect all sorts of PokéStops and Pokémon that you encounter while on the go in the city. But what to do if you either have no car or no one is willing to drive you? A market gap arises, which is currently being filled by enterprising drivers!
Anyone who has ever started Pokémon GO as a passenger in a car or in public transport knows the phenomenon. Dozens of PokéStops and Pokémon themselves are lying by the roadside, just waiting for someone to pick them up. Those with good reflexes can easily farm the stops and catch the wandering monsters. It’s convenient and saves your legs.
The problem is: you either need your own car with a driver (Don’t Drive and Pokémon! Seriously!) or a good-natured friend who agrees to such collection trips. But what to do if you’re unlucky and have neither a driver nor a vehicle? Then you can hire so-called “Pokémon Taxis” in some German cities! If, on the other hand, you prefer to hunt on foot, then our Pokémon GO Guide Collection is certainly a good address.
Your personal Pokémon Safari Tour!
Some resourceful car owners have recognized the signs of the times and offer comfortable round trips through their city. Usually, the drivers advertise their own good knowledge of the local hunting grounds and promise a particularly lucrative tour through the hottest PokéStops and spawn areas in their neighborhood.
Some particularly professional service providers offer comfortable limousines with Wi-Fi modules, Bluetooth connections for music, mobile charging cables, and even cold drinks. Most offers extend to an hour of Pokémon safari, with prices ranging from 10 to 30 euros per hour, often with cheaper group rates available. A list of many Pokémon taxi services can be found, for example, on eBay.
Mein-MMO says: I find it really cool how many great business ideas are arising from Pokémon GO. However, I wouldn’t book such a taxi, as the thrill of Pokémon GO for me is actually the hunt on foot. And I can’t hatch eggs in the car either. But overall, the Poké-Taxi is a good idea and a nice earning opportunity for people with cars and good local knowledge.
What do you think? Do you find Poké-Taxis great, or does it detract from the hunting success if you let yourself be driven around comfortably? Or are you currently planning your own Poké-Taxi business?
In this article, we show you more ways how people are looking to profit from the “Pokémon GO” hype.
