In Pokémon GO, a new Pokémon might soon be coming! At least, that’s what players hope, as one monster fits perfectly with the Loturzel event.
Why could a new Pokémon come? Around the limited research with Loturzel, Pokémon are supposed to spawn that appear due to weather influence.
Kikugi from the 4th generation would also fit, as its evolution depends on the weather. A release is therefore quite conceivable.

What is Kikugi? This Pokémon from the 4th generation is still missing. Its evolution is special. Its evolution, Kinoso, has two forms: the sun form and the normal form. In the console games, the Pokémon changed its form in sunlight.
It is like a flower that blooms in sunlight and is closed in other weather.
Similarly, this could happen in Pokémon GO. In sunny weather, Kikugi could evolve into the sun form of Kinoso, and otherwise into the normal form. However, this is only a speculation so far.
That’s why a release would fit: Niantic announced that the weather is the focus of the limited research with Loturzel. This way, there are also more Formeo in the wild as well as its shiny form.
It would fit to release another Pokémon that has a direct connection to the weather.
This is what players say: Many players believe that Kikugi and its evolution will be released for the event. As “K_Adrix” says on Reddit: “Kikugi would be the perfect addition to the limited weather research!”
“That’s right, that’s quite conceivable!” writes another player regarding the theory.
Other players are more cautious about the whole thing. One says: “There are many things that Niantic should and/or could do. But they won’t, they don’t believe in common sense at Niantic.”
As some players have already hoped for a release of the Pokémon during the current plant event.
