In Pokémon GO the big Sinnoh event is currently happening with special 7km eggs. Trainers have been looking forward to the chance to hatch Riolu and add this strong fighter to their collection. A study now shows how rare Riolu currently is in the 7 eggs.
What is happening in Pokémon GO? On November 16th, the big Sinnoh event started in Pokémon GO to celebrate the release of “Pokémon Brilliant Diamond” and “Pokémon Shining Pearl”. One of the main highlights of the event is the changes to the 7km eggs, as you can now hatch Riolu from them.
Trainers in Japan tested this and show how often Riolu hatched from 3,714 eggs and how frequently other Pokémon were the outcome.
Chances of obtaining Riolu from current eggs during the Sinnoh event
Which Pokémon can hatch? If you receive a 7km egg from your friends’ gifts during the Sinnoh event 2021, the following Pokémon can hatch from it:
- Knospi
- Mobai
- Wonneira
- Pantimimi
- Riolu
Additionally, there is a chance for each of the five Pokémon to hatch in their shiny form, but that requires a lot of luck.
Especially Riolu already appeared as a highlight during the event announcement. Its evolution Lucario is a very popular fighter in the community and through the Sinnoh event, trainers hope to have good chances of catching many candies or strong specimens.
How high are the chances? A group of trainers from Japan made it their mission to check exactly how often each of the listed Pokémon hatches from the 7km eggs. They hatched a total of 3,714 eggs until November 17th at 09:00 AM Japanese local time (via reddit.com).
- Knospi: hatched 943 times (25.4%)
- Wonneira: hatched 921 times (24.8%)
- Mobai: hatched 909 times (24.5%)
- Riolu: hatched 517 times (13.9%)
- Pantimimi: hatched 424 times (11.4%)
