Recently, trainers showed developers of Pokémon GO that two Pokémon are missing. Apparently, this is the case again, as at least one more Pokémon is still missing. It had briefly appeared in Pokémon GO before.
Which Pokémon is missing in Pokémon GO? The community on reddit is currently hotly debating what is going on with Galarian Mr. Mime and whether anyone has seen it. It seems to be lost. It was briefly in the game for a paid event in December and was supposed to be made available to everyone afterward.
Trainers are directing their words to Niantic and asking: How can we catch Galarian Mr. Mime? Just recently, trainers pointed out to Niantic that Summer Sawsbuck and Mr. Mime are missing – and Niantic responded.
The Past of Galarian Mr. Mime
When did it come to the game? With a special research task in December 2020, Niantic brought Galarian Mr. Mime to the game for the first time. However, the research was only available for a paid ticket. Trainers who did not purchase it could not encounter Galarian Mr. Mime.
What was supposed to happen next? Niantic did not state this clearly. Players assumed it would follow the pattern of other paid tickets: Usually, ticket-exclusive Pokémon become catchable by all trainers after a delay of weeks or months.
This is what trainers are saying: On reddit, trainer Luke9251 asks if Niantic has forgotten Galarian Mr. Mime (via reddit.com). He writes that he hopes to catch the developers’ attention with the post. “To summarize, we have had several paid events with purchasable tickets. And all these Pokémon were made available for free later:
- Regigigas only came to EX Raids two weeks after its paid event
- Next, we had Genesect, which came to raids in just under 5 months after its paid event. Even with its shiny form
- Then there was Victini, which was released for everyone about 2 months after the GO Fest
And then we have Galarian Mr. Mime, almost 6 months after its paid event. There is no sign yet that it will be available soon.”
In the comments on reddit, trainer Amafule mentions another Pokémon. “Also Rotom. It was only available during the GO Fest last summer. But it will likely be treated like Unown” (via reddit.com). There is still no further information from Niantic regarding a release for Rotom .
It is quite possible that Niantic actually forgot about Galarian Mr. Mime and is now acting similarly to what they did with Summer Sawsbuck and Mr. Mime. Sawsbuck received more spawns in the wild and Mr. Mime can be found in Europe in 5km eggs.
Perhaps Niantic has something entirely different planned for the Galarian form of Mr. Mime and is planning a special release.
