If an EX-Raid is canceled in Pokémon GO, it is always a bummer. However, players are well rewarded for this cancellation.
What are EX-Raids? You can only participate in EX-Raids in Pokémon GO if you are invited. The special raids take place at a predetermined time. The current EX-Raid boss is Deoxys.
If an EX-Raid is canceled, trainers receive some items as compensation. These compensations have now been increased.
Stardust and Raid Passes as Compensation
What compensations were there before? So far, the item gifts for a cancellation were small. You received about 1000 Stardust and 2 Premium Raid Passes.
What is new now? The rewards have now been significantly increased. A player shows on Reddit the cancellation of his EX-Raid and the increased rewards. Especially the Stardust has been significantly raised to 50,000. The 5 Premium Raid Passes are also a nice bonus.

How do players react? Many users on Reddit commented on the post and wanted their EX-Raid to be canceled as well. “l339” wrote: “Damn, I wish my EX-Raid would be canceled too.”
That’s why players now wish for cancellations: Many players find the current EX-Raid boss Deoxys unpopular. The Pokémon is not really useful in battles and most players have already caught one. The 50,000 Stardust is more useful for many players.
Stardust is the most important resource in the game for some trainers. We show you how to best obtain Stardust.

Why are EX-Raids canceled? Cancellations of EX-Raids have various reasons. Sometimes Niantic incorrectly distributes invitations to too few players. Additionally, arenas that could host an EX-Raid have already been deleted.
What would you rather have? An EX-Raid invitation or the items you receive from the cancellation?
