The next Pokémon GO event is just around the corner and brings along Grass-type Pokémon. We will show you when the event starts and ends.
A global blooming will take place this coming weekend. As announced, a certain Pokémon species will be found more frequently in the coming days. According to Professor Willow’s research, these are Grass-type Pokémon. The start and end of the event has also been revealed by the developers. Hope for good weather this weekend so you can complete your collections without being disturbed by rain.
Grass Event in Pokémon GO – Start and End
In his research on the habitats of different Pokémon, Professor Willow has made some interesting discoveries. Among the most recent and important findings is a surge of Grass-type Pokémon. And he can even limit this frequent occurrence temporally. The start of the Grass Event is therefore the afternoon/evening of May 5, which is a Friday. Throughout the afternoon/evening, you will find Grass-type Pokémon more frequently in the wild.
Unfortunately, there are no precise details yet on whether the increase only concerns certain Pokémon of this type, or all Grass-type monsters.
However, you only have a short time for this event, as it ends on May 8, which is Monday, and the spawns of Grass-type Pokémon will return to their usual numbers. Unlike the week-long Water Event, the event with the green friends is only of short duration. So make good use of the next few days to add the possibly missing Grass friends to your collection.

Lure Modules last longer
As another change, the developers later announced further modifications to the Grass Event. To help you catch your Grass-type Pokémon more easily, lure modules will be active for 6 hours the entire weekend! It seems the developers are particularly generous with you, as modules usually only last 30 minutes.
Shiny Bulbasaur or other Grass Shinies?
At the mentioned Water Event, fans found the first shiny monsters in Pokémon GO after just a few hours. Accordingly to the Water Event, these shiny monsters appeared in the form of Magikarp and Gyarados.
It is possible that new shiny Pokémon of the Grass type are expected during the Grass Event. Perhaps the title image featuring Bulbasaur is already a hint towards the next shiny that the developers are announcing secretly.
Let’s be surprised if there are any shinies at all in this event. Which Pokémon would you prefer?
