In Pokémon GO, the “Path to Sinnoh” event is just around the corner. We will show you what to expect at this event.
What kind of event is it? The “Path to Sinnoh” event starts on Monday, February 19, 2024, at 10:00 AM and will run until Friday, February 23, 2024, at 10:00 PM. It represents the preparation and kick-off for the global Sinnoh Tour, which takes place on February 24 and 25, 2024.
The “Path to Sinnoh” event brings not only various bonuses and different Pokémon but also a special feature: a new legendary Pokémon every day that you can defeat and catch in 5*-raids, and even a limited research task where you can obtain legendary Pokémon.
Legendary Pokémon in raids and even in limited research
Which legendary Pokémon can be found in raids? The following legendary Pokémon can be encountered in 5–raids during the event:
- Darkrai* on February 19
- Cresselia* on February 20
- Mesprit* on February 21 (in the Asia-Pacific regions, instead you will find Selfe* and in America and Greenland, Tobutz* is waiting)
- Heatran* on February 22
- Giratina (Origin Form)* on February 23
All Pokémon marked with * can also appear as Shiny.
Which legendary Pokémon can be found in the limited research? As part of the event, there will also be free limited research. If you complete the tasks, the following legendary Pokémon will be waiting for you as rewards:

What bonuses are there in the event? The following bonuses will be active during the event:
- Halved hatch distance for eggs placed in incubators during the event
- Remote raid limit increased to 10 per day (from February 19 to February 22)
- Remote raid limit lifted (from February 23 to February 25)
2 optional event tickets available for purchase
What tickets are available in the event? During the event, 2 optional tickets will be available for you. Each costs 5 US dollars (the price in euros is expected to be similar). The contents of the tickets are as follows:
Raid Ticket
- 5000 additional experience points for raid victories
- 1 additional candy when catching a raid boss
- 2 additional raid passes per day from gyms
Limited research from the raid ticket
- 10 candies for Dialga and Palkia
- 5 XL candies for Heatran, Giratina, Cresselia, and Darkrai
- Eevee Fan-Mask
Hatch Ticket
- Double experience points when hatching eggs
- Double candies when hatching eggs
- Double stardust for hatching eggs
- Pikachu Fan-Mask
Limited research from the raid ticket
- Encounters with the regional Pokémon Pachirisu*, Plaudagei*, and Venuflibis*
