In Pokémon GO you can evolve Pamo into Pamamo, and then into Pamomamo. However, it requires a prerequisite.
What kind of Pokémon is this? Pamo is a small Pokémon from the Paldea region that is recently catchable in Pokémon GO. It is of the Electric type.
It has two evolutions:
- Pamamo
- And Pamomamo
You can also obtain these evolutions in Pokémon GO. However, while you can easily evolve Pamamo using 25 candies, you will need to put in a bit more effort for Pamomamo.
How to evolve Pamamo into Pamomamo in Pokémon GO
This is how the evolution works: Once you’ve evolved Pamo into Pamamo, you can set it as your buddy. Feed it berries until it goes on an adventure with you.
Now you need to walk because: Pamomamo can only be obtained by walking 25 kilometers with Pamamo as your buddy.
Additionally, you will also need 100 Pamo candies to evolve Pamamo into Pamomamo. Once both prerequisites are met, you can perform the evolution.
In summary, it goes like this:
- Evolve Pamo into Pamamo: 25 Pamo candies
- Evolve Pamamo into Pamomamo: 100 Pamo candies + 25 kilometers as a buddy
Pamamo is not evolving? In the Pokémon GO subreddit called TheSilphRoad
, a trainer shared the problem that their Pamamo would not evolve despite meeting the 25 km requirement.
The solution: Apparently, it helped to remove Pamamo as a buddy first. Then the evolution worked. You should try this if you have the same problem.
By the way: In the games Scarlet & Violet, Pamamo has a similar evolution requirement. There, it must have accumulated at least 1,000 steps in let Pokémon run
mode. This is a mode where you simply send your monsters out on their own, where they can even fight against other Pokémon.
The special evolution thus originates from a model in the main Pokémon games.
