These outfits are designed in the style of the main characters from Violet and Scarlet. If you want them, you should hurry. It is unclear how long they will be available in the shop.
This is how trainers are reacting: On social media, there are a few trainers who are very excited about the outfits. However, many are wondering if that’s all there is. User chatchan asks on reddit: “No new Pokémon, just clothing? Wow”.
User Furryboh asks whether an announcement was really necessary for the avatar clothing.
Another trainer still has hope: krispyboiz writes that Niantic has never announced the event bonuses for new Pokémon games beforehand:
- Raids with Galar-Smogmog were never announced
- Galar-Porenta and Galar-Flunschlick were not announced
- Hisui-Voltobal was not announced
Thus, krispyboiz concludes: “I wouldn’t complain yet.”
This implies that the Pokémon suddenly appeared in the game and were not previously confirmed by an official announcement from Niantic. Possibly, the release of Scarlet and Violet will bring more surprises to Pokémon GO.
