In Pokémon GO the events for October have been announced! A new research breakthrough, 4 spotlight hours, and the big Halloween event are waiting for you.
What was said: Even though the events in September are not even over yet, Niantic has stepped up. Almost all events for October have been announced, along with numerous details.
October is all about the Halloween event, which will take place at the end of the month. But before that, there are some exciting events as well.
New research breakthrough in October
What will be in the breakthrough? In October, you will receive Ninjatom from the research breakthrough! It is the evolution of Nincada, but cannot be obtained through this evolution in Pokémon GO.
So if you have a gap in your PokéDex, you can be happy. Other players won’t benefit much this month. Ninjatom is a pretty weak Pokémon and does not bring any advantages.
When will Ninjatom be available? The new breakthrough will be available from October 1 at 10:00 PM German time. You can then receive Ninjatom until November 1 at 10:00 PM German time.
To accomplish the breakthrough, you need to complete field research on a total of 7 days.
4 new spotlight hours in October
What was shown: Every Tuesday in October, a new spotlight hour is waiting for you.
From 6:00 PM local time, a special Pokémon will appear in increased numbers for one hour, and a bonus will round off the whole thing.
Tuesday, October 6
What bonus is there? Here, Pikachu with the world travel cap is in the spotlight. This Pikachu has never been available in Pokémon GO before. You will likely encounter it as Shiny during the hour.
In addition, there will be double XP for catching Pokémon. So if you want to level up, you can make good use of this bonus.
Tuesday, October 13
What bonus is there? Another Pikachu with a hat appears here! This time, it’s Pikachu with the original cap. This Pikachu has been available in the game and can also be encountered as Shiny.
As an additional bonus, you will get double the candies for catching Pokémon. So that means 6 candies per caught Pokémon.
Tuesday, October 20
What bonus is there? From this event, it will get spooky in Pokémon GO! Shuppet is waiting for you, which is supposed to herald the Halloween season. You can also get it as Shiny.
Accordingly, there will also be double candies for sending Pokémon. So you can receive 2 candies for sending each Pokémon.
Tuesday, October 27
What bonus is there? It continues here with the spooky Pokémon. Zwirrlicht is in the spotlight and can be caught as Shiny.
In addition, there will be double XP for evolving Pokémon.
Limited Research with Meowth
What kind of event is this? This time, there is a special research focused entirely on Meowth.
The Meowth from the Kanto, Alola, and Galar regions will be available. The Kanto and Alola Meowth can also be Shiny. So you can hope for some Shinies.
The event will likely run similarly to the limited research with Snubbull. That took place this year in May.
Fashion Event brings Shiny Flammiau

First details on the Halloween event
