In Pokémon GO runs today, on October 25, the catching event “Catching Art: Ghost”. It’s all about the Pokémon Driftloon and there are bonuses for good throws.
How long does the event last? It started at 8:00 AM. You can take advantage of this event until 10:00 PM local time, which is taking place for the first time in Pokémon GO.
In the event, there is a limited research and special quests. Additionally, Driftloon will appear more frequently.
This is how the catching challenge works
What happens in Pokémon GO: At first glance, not much changes. Driftloon is already encountered more often in the current Halloween event. However, now it will appear even more frequently.
There is also a limited research task that you should solve in 10 steps. The tasks are quite easy and do not take much time.
In addition, there are special field researches where different ghost Pokémon can be caught. Mainly, Driftloon can be caught this way. You can also earn Mega Energy for Gengar.
This way you earn more XP: In the event, your throwing skills are rewarded. If you catch Pokémon with good, great, or excellent curveballs, you will get more XP credited to your account.
What about Shiny Driftloon? According to initial reports, Shiny Driftloon is said to appear more frequently. It seems to not have the usual rate of 1 in 450. So you will have good chances at the Shiny.
