In Pokémon GO, players noticed that the special research “A Wise Hero” was broken and their progress was gone. Now, there is a solution from developer Niantic.
What was the problem? In the special research “A Wise Hero”, in the third chapter, the players’ progress was deleted when the related event ended.
The problem affected the following 3 tasks:
- Land 3 fabulous catches
- Earn 5 candies while walking with your buddy
- Evolve 10 Pokémon
Especially the candy task could mean a lot of effort, as one has to – depending on the chosen buddy – walk several kilometers to collect the candies. However, some trainers were also annoyed about the candy waste during the evolutions.
Now, Niantic has reached out with a solution.
Niantic resolves the issue, trainers can pick up the rewards
This is how it will be resolved: Niantic announced via the support channel on Twitter that they were aware of the problem and wanted to offer a solution. Therefore, the third stage of the research will now be automatically completed once reached.
This means: You do not need to make any fabulous throws, or collect candies or evolutions as soon as you reach stage 3. And as stage 4 of the research also only consists of picking up rewards, you can now complete the research quickly – even if progress was reset.
Moreover, some players are even lucky, because if they were able to pick up individual rewards before the progress was reset, they can now pick them up a second time.
