What we know so far about the Lake Trio in the wild
Niantic has announced them: At 5 AM, Niantic posted a tweet about the sightings of the Lake Trio. It was assumed that they would take the place in the raids currently occupied by Groudon.
All the more surprising was that the 3 Pokémon can now be caught in the wild.
Where were the Pokémon sighted? Players report seeing the legendary Pokémon all over the world. Interestingly, the legendary Pokémon could be regional.
So the following Pokémon were discovered here:
- Vesprit is caught in Europe
- Selfe is caught in Asia and Oceania
- Tobutz is caught in North America
On Reddit, players give a hint that the legendary Pokémon are supposed to spawn primarily around lakes. That would be fitting, as this trio is named after 3 lakes in the console games where they were found.
That’s why you should go hunting now: If you want to catch the legendary Pokémon in the wild, you should head out sooner rather than later, as many players initially suspected a bug at the release. How long the legendary Pokémon will stay is unknown.
However, it does not appear to be a mistake, as the Pokémon are still available in the wild. If it had been an error, it would have already been fixed long ago.
There was an error here: A similar mistake occurred with Schalellos. This Pokémon appeared in the wild for a short time during the night but then suddenly disappeared again.
