Recently, Pokémon GO has been adding new features frequently. One feature almost went unnoticed among the many updates – but it can significantly improve events like Community Day.
What is this feature? Last week, Pokémon GO introduced not only new bonus quests but also a new feature that affects your items. Specifically, those that provide you with bonuses over a certain period of time. For example:
- Lucky Eggs
- Star Pieces
- Incense
These items can now be stacked, unlike before. This means you can directly extend the duration of, for example, a half-hour when your Lucky Eggs are active, by using multiple items at once. You can now let items run for up to 24 hours.
How item stacking improves Community Day
The benefits of this feature during events: This feature is basically just a small change, but it could prove to be very useful. Events like Community Day, or even the current Nostalgia Event, can naturally enhance the effects of these items. For instance, by making them last longer or have stronger effects.
At the beginning of a Community Day, when such items are activated, you naturally try to collect as many bonuses as possible by using the items. However, during the event, it can happen that one forgets to renew items once they expire. Thus, bonuses can be missed for a time.
With the new feature, you can now easily cover the entire duration from the start and focus on catching Pokémon.
The stacking feature is also worthwhile for the current play-from-home scenario. You have the option to spread your incense items throughout the entire day, thus having more spawns without having to return to your bag in between.
The new remote raids also help when playing from home. Currently, for example, you can catch Darkrai as a raid boss – from home.
