In Pokémon GO, the autumn event started with a surprise bonus and new raid bosses. We show you everything you need to know about the new content.
What kind of event is this? On October 9th at 5:00 PM, the autumn event in Pokémon GO began. Niantic had previously announced which bonuses would be active. However, they initially kept a egg bonus hidden from players. They were surprised when it suddenly became active.
Additionally, new raid bosses are now dominating the gyms. In the overview, we show you what is new in the game.
Surprising Egg Bonus
What is different now: The distance you need to walk to hatch eggs has been reduced to a quarter. Niantic did not announce this bonus beforehand, but it delights players.
So if you still need to hatch eggs for the special research “A Mysterious Energy” with Victini or other quests, you can get it done particularly quickly now.
Hatched eggs not in inventory? Some trainers noticed that their hatched Pokémon do not appear in their collection at first glance. This is because the catch date of the hatched Pokémon is now not the hatching time, but the day you received the egg.
If you sort by catch date, you will need to scroll a bit further.
New Raid Bosses with Giratina
What is new? At the start of the autumn event, the bosses in the gyms also changed.
Since the raid boss system changed a few weeks ago, categories 2 and 4 have been dropped. Here we show you the bosses that can now temporarily be battled during the autumn event in Pokémon GO.

Make sure to compile the best counter team against Giratina in its Altered Form in Pokémon GO right away. This way you’ll be ready as soon as you’re invited to a raid.
4x Candy when catching
How does it work? Niantic announced before the event that berries would become more effective. Trainers can confirm this. If you feed a Razz Berry when catching a Pokémon, you will receive 12 candies for it. This is particularly important for rare Pokémon. You can also collect many candies during the limited research with Meowth using this.
It has also been confirmed that the Silver Razz Berry offers 12 candies for a successful catch. Razz Berries and even a Silver Razz Berry can be obtained in the new temporary research “Change of Seasons” with Sawsbuck.
