Pokémon GO now brings you the new monster Venicro. How do you get it and what kind of monster is it?
What’s going on in Pokémon GO? In Pokémon GO, a new season has begun. It runs from March 1 to June 1.
Part of this new season is also the special research “World Full of Wonders”. And here you encounter Venicro – a monster that seems to be the star of the new season.
How do you get Venicro? To get Venicro, you only need to complete the first step of the new special research. For that, you need to catch 20 Pokémon, spin 10 PokéStops, and send 10 Pokémon. Once you have collected the rewards for these three tasks, you will encounter Venicro.
As of now, you can only secure one specimen of Venicro in Pokémon GO. But what kind of monster is it actually?

Venicro is an Ultra Beast. In the past, new Ultra Beasts for Pokémon GO were hinted at, and now it has finally arrived.
Ultra Beasts are not exactly legendary Pokémon but beings from another dimension invading the Pokémon world. However, they are comparably strong and are among the best monsters in the game.
The Venicro that you encounter now seems to be friendly. Interestingly, there is also a Venicro in the Pokémon TV series that becomes friends with Ash and goes on adventures with him.

What makes Venicro special? The goblin-like Venicro, as the only Ultra Beast, has an evolution: Agoyon. You get it in the main games when Venicro learns the move Dragon Pulse and levels up.
Agoyon is a Dragon and Poison type Pokémon, which is a quite rare combination: Only Tandrak and Endynalos, which does not exist in Pokémon GO yet, share this combination. How strong it will be in Pokémon GO remains to be seen.
Interestingly, as of now you cannot evolve Agoyon in Pokémon GO. It remains to be seen: presumably, the seasonal research, which expands continuously throughout the season, will eventually provide the opportunity for evolution.
