In Pokémon GO there is now a guaranteed spawn per day and a small gift that can be opened daily. However, this only affects some trainers.
What’s new? Pokémon GO wants to make it easier for trainers to play during the Corona times. Therefore, they are testing a new incense that attracts one Pokémon each day.
Additionally, you will receive a small gift with items in the in-game shop. You can even collect it daily.
Niantic distributes gifts – But only to test users
This has been revealed: Niantic is testing a new feature in Pokémon GO. This new incense attracts exactly one Pokémon per day. The spawn always includes a special Pokémon. For example, trainers have reported encounters with Elezeba, Rotomurf, or Ohrdoch.
This incense is only being tested with some players. Not every trainer has this incense yet. So if you had a Pokémon at your door this morning that had a white shimmer around it, then you are one of the test users.
What about the gifts? In conjunction with the daily spawns, there are also guaranteed gifts in the in-game shop. There is now supposed to be a free box available daily, which includes at least a few items.
However, there are not many items in there. Most trainers received a maximum of 5 berries and 2-3 balls.
The gifts are also only distributed to test users. So check the shop to see if you find such a box. If so, then you are one of the lucky test users.
When will the feature be available for everyone? This is not entirely clear. Niantic states that it will be rolled out to more trainers in the coming months. Whether that will be all players or still just part of the community remains to be seen.
