The new Adventure Sync is only a few days in Pokémon GO and already something is changing regarding the weekly rewards. We show you what is new.
The new fitness feature Adventure Sync is currently the big innovation in Pokémon GO. Many players are complaining about differing rewards. These have been changed. Additionally, players are having trouble collecting the rewards.
What is Adventure Sync? This new fitness feature is supposed to make it easier for players to hatch eggs and rewards particularly active players. Adventure Sync measures the steps players take even without the app being open. Users are rewarded with free items after 5 km, 25 km, and 50 km.
We will show you what changes have been made to the system and how you can collect the rewards.
Receive these rewards in Adventure Sync
What is new? The rewards of Adventure Sync have been adjusted again. We reported last week about rewards that have now been changed.
Less Stardust: The Stardust has been reduced in the rewards. While initially there were up to 15,000 Stardust as a reward for 50 km, there is now a maximum of 2000 Stardust in a package.
More Rare Candy: Players can look forward to receiving more Rare Candy as a reward. Initially, there was a maximum of one Rare Candy, while now there are three.
You now receive these rewards from Adventure Sync:
- 5 Kilometer Rewards
- 20x Pokéball
- 25 Kilometer Rewards
- 20x Pokéball
- 10x Great Ball
- 1000 Stardust
- additionally one of the following rewards:
- 5 km Egg
- 3 Rare Candies
- 3 Silver Pineapples
- 50 Kilometer Rewards
- 20x Pokéball
- 10x Great Ball
- 5x Ultra Ball
- 5000 Stardust
- additionally one of the following rewards:
- 5 km Egg
- 3 Rare Candies
- 3 Silver Pineapples
- additionally one of the following rewards:
- 5 km Egg
- 10 km Egg
- 5 Rare Candies
- 5 Silver Pineapples
How to increase your chances of receiving Eggs as rewards: If you want an egg as a reward, you should have a free space in your egg inventory. However, having a free space does not guarantee that you will receive an egg.
How to collect your reward
Many trainers have already complained that they have run over 50 km but cannot collect their reward. When they opened the app on November 5, they were suddenly able to collect the reward.
Be patient: It takes a little while after opening the app before you see a message popping up that allows you to collect your reward.
Reward only once a week: It seems you can only collect your reward at the end of the week. Every Monday starts a new week, and your kilometers count from zero. Therefore, every night from Sunday to Monday is payday, and you can collect your reward.
This is how the community reacts to the change
The changes in the rewards are drastic. The Stardust has been nearly reduced to a tenth. Many trainers are disappointed that all that running is hardly rewarded.
One user writes on Reddit: “It seems somewhat ridiculous that walking 50 km is rewarded less than a raid that can be completed in five minutes by car.”
And “ivansoup” is right. A raid can indeed drop more Rare Candy and the Stardust in raids has also been increased.
RindoBerry wrote: “Wow, a whole 2000 Stardust! That’s almost enough to push a Pokémon half a level!”
What do you think about the changes? Are they still fair?
