During the weekend, you had the opportunity in Pokémon GO to obtain two Pokémon with the adventure effect. There is now one way left to get them.
What kind of event was that? Over the weekend, the great Sinnoh Tour took place in Pokémon GO. The event consisted of two parts, a local and a global event. In the global event, alongside many Pokémon, some research, and other features, mainly two interesting Pokémon awaited you: Dialga and Palkia.
The two Pokémon were also available in their original forms. Each can master an attack that serves as a so-called adventure effect. They can be used outside of battles and each provides you with an effect. To use them, you need to spend some candies and stardust.
If you missed the opportunity over the weekend to obtain the corresponding specimens of Dialga and Palkia, you now have another way to gain the adventure effects.
Community had problems obtaining the second adventure effect
How did I get a Pokémon with the adventure effect? As part of the Sinnoh Tour, research was unlocked called GO Tour 2024: Time Comes, Space Comes
. Depending on the path chosen previously, you had to catch either a Palkia or a Dialga in the second step.
If you caught one of the Pokémon in its original form, it definitely had an adventure effect. If you wanted to obtain the other Pokémon with an adventure effect as well, you had to defeat it in raids. And you also needed some luck, as the corresponding attack was not guaranteed here.
That this undertaking could sometimes be difficult can be seen from a trainer on Reddit. This trainer raided a total of 9 original Palkia without obtaining a single specimen that masters the adventure effect.
How can I still obtain the adventure effect? If you still want to receive a corresponding Pokémon with an adventure effect after the event has ended, you still have a way to do so. You need to receive the Pokémon from a friend in a trade. Through the trade of a Pokémon, the IV values are redistributed, but the attacks remain intact.
If you have a friend who still has a Pokémon with the adventure effect and is willing to trade with you, you can obtain the missing specimens even after the event has ended.
