In Pokémon GO there is a new update that implements small improvements in some areas – especially in the inventory, this is noticeable.
What kind of update is this? In Pokémon GO, version 0.270.0 is now available, which you can now download from the app stores for iOS and Android.
In the course of the new update, the developers apparently focused on some “Quality of Life” improvements, as adjustments were made in some areas of the game to make the gaming experience somewhat clearer.

New view in the item bag, better overview during raids
These are the new features in the bag: When you open your item bag, you can now switch to a grid view. It overall appears clearer than the usual list view – which is still available.
Clues about the new feature had only recently been found – now it is already live.
Furthermore, the items are now categorized:
- Medicine (potions, revives, etc.)
- Poké Balls
- Berries
- Gifts (stickers, postcard book, gifts)
- Trainer boosts (lucky egg, incense, mystery box, etc.)
- Other items (rare candies, rocket radar, incubators, etc.)
- Passes (e.g. raid passes)
- Lures
- Starting equipment (camera, ????? coin from Gimmighoul)
- TMs
- Evolution items
The categories are available in both the grid and the list.
What changes with raids? Users are currently sharing further changes they notice in the game on the Pokémon GO subreddit.
As user “NoNoZaZa” (via reddit) shows, now when you click on a raid where there are already people, you can see how long the lobby is going to run down until the raid starts before joining. A small timer is now running in a circular form around the participant display until the raid starts.
This can be especially useful if you want to invite friends to the raid and prefer to wait until you have a full lobby timer available. Conversely, you can see how much time you have left to join if you want to hurry.
In addition, it is now clearer to see which raids are currently running in the raid overview. However, what is still missing is the long-requested “start raid button”.
One more small change: In the Pokémon search, a small “X” button has now been added that allows you to delete the search terms directly without having to type back into the field.
