In Pokémon GO there are new raid bosses to battle! We show you a list of the current raids and tell you which ones are particularly worth it.
Why are there new raid bosses? Cresselia has disappeared and makes way for Articuno. In addition to the legendary Pokémon, other monsters will also join the raids, which are particularly effective against Articuno.
The Mega Raids are also getting new additions! You will now also be able to challenge Mega-Pidgeot.
Current Raids in Pokémon GO
This is the list: We show you here every monster that is currently in the raids. The list comes from trainers on reddit, who have gradually compiled all the Pokémon.
The monsters marked with a star can also be encountered as shiny.
| Raid Level | Pokémon |
| Level-1-Raid (red egg) | Alolan Vulpix* Alolan Geodude* Voltorb* Ammonite* Sneebel* Snagnet Kiesling* Lithomith* |
| Level-3-Raid (yellow egg) | Golem Alolan Marowak* Rhydon Jolteon Walrein Gardevoir Steelix Aerodactyl* |
| Mega-Raid (red-white egg) | Mega-Venusaur* Mega-Charizard X* Mega-Charizard Y* Mega-Gengar* Mega-Pidgeot* |
| Level-5-Raid (black egg) | Articuno |
What you should know about the Megas: In the raid you will be fighting against the Mega Evolution, but in the end, you can catch the normal version of the Pokémon.
This version can also be shiny. This also applies to Pidgeot, which is now completely new as a Mega Raid.
Which Pokémon are worth it? For raids, the Pokémon Sneebel, Golem, Gardevoir, and Rhydon are useful. They or their evolutions are among the best attackers in the game and are strong counters against Articuno.
For PvP fans, Alolan Marowak and Articuno are worth it. They are solid attackers in the lower leagues and could strengthen your team.
Articuno is also generally worth it, as it has returned to legendary raids for the first time in about 2 years. It can be shiny and is a solid ice attacker.
The Mega Pokémon are not listed here on purpose. They are all incredibly strong, but you have to do more than just one raid for them and the evolution only lasts 4 hours. So everyone has to decide for themselves whether they want to afford the Mega Evolutions.
How long will the raids last? Probably until September 25. Then Articuno will disappear from the raids and make room for Zapdos. The raids will likely be shuffled again. Articuno is just one of 4 legendary Pokémon that can be found in Pokémon GO in September.
