The new event with Jessie and James has also brought fresh raid bosses to Pokémon GO. They are especially appealing when you’re hunting for shiny Pokémon.
This is the event: The new event in Pokémon GO is currently ongoing, themed around the movie “Secrets of the Jungle”. You’ll be guided through a new research by Team Rocket agents Jessie and James, which can lead you to a shiny Celebi at the end.
However, the new research is not all that awaits you during the event. It also brought new raid bosses that you can challenge starting now.

Good raids for shiny hunters: If you’re on the hunt for shiny Pokémon, you can give the new raids a good try. They contain a lot of Pokémon that can also be obtained as shiny.
Important: To get the shiny mega evolutions, you need to mega evolve the captured shiny versions.
At the forefront is the new shiny Geronimatz, which was not catchable before the event. Generally, this little bird is quite rare, so it could be worth trying to catch it. Alternatively, you can currently try to obtain it from 5 km eggs – there is also a chance that Geronimatz will hatch.

Additionally, there are other monsters at all raid levels that can appear in unusual colors. Actually, only three of the current raid bosses are out without shiny chances: Blanas, Libelldra, and the legendary boss Kyurem.
However, one should keep in mind, that the shiny chance in Pokémon GO is generally not very high.
