In Pokémon GO three new promo codes are active that will bring you legendary Pokémon. Here you will find the codes, how to redeem them, and a tip.
What are these codes? The three new codes appeared on February 21, 2025. They likely were released to celebrate the Unova Tour taking place this weekend in Los Angeles, before the global tour event on March 1 and 2.
The codes each provide a research task, at the end of which you will encounter one of three legendary Pokémon.

How do you get the Pokémon? After entering the codes, you will each receive a research task. All three research tasks have the same requirement: Catch 156 Pokémon that were originally captured in the Unova region. If you succeed, you can catch the legendary Pokémon at the end of each task.
Tip for the research: This coming Tuesday, there will be a spotlight hour where you will encounter Floink, Ottaro, and Serpifeu for one hour. This hour is perfect for catching the necessary Pokémon for the tasks – all three are from the Unova region.

Redeeming promo codes in Pokémon GO – How it works in 2025
While in the past you could still enter codes in the game itself on iOS devices, this is no longer possible today. Device-independently, you now have to follow the following steps to redeem promo codes for Pokémon GO.
- Visit the Pokémon GO web store (at https://store.pokemongolive.com/de-DE)
- Click on “Redeem Code”
- Log in with your credentials that you use for Pokémon GO
- Now you can enter the code
Hurry up: In the past, there have often been cases where codes in Pokémon GO were only available for a short time. Therefore, you should hurry to redeem the codes before they are no longer active.
As for completing the research: You have until Sunday, March 2, to do this.
