A new promo code in Pokémon GO is available. We show you what you get and how to redeem it.

What’s included in the code? When you redeem the code, you will receive a limited-time research titled “Event Celebrating Pokémon Horizons: The Series – Limited Time Bonus Research”. The code was released on the occasion of the current Horizons event.
The research ends, as of now (April 18, 2025), in 5 days. It requires the following from you:
- Explore 3 km – Reward: 30 Poké Balls
- Catch 20 Pokémon – Reward: 5 Razz Berries
- Spin 10 PokéStops or gyms – Reward: 3 revives
Completing the research will also reward you with:
- A meeting with Feliospa, which is wearing a hat
- 5,000 XP
- 2,500 Stardust
In total, you will receive one Pokémon, as well as some items from the research.
Does the code expire? This is currently unclear, but it’s better to hurry. In the past, there have been codes that were only available for a limited time or for a limited number of trainers. Additionally, the limited-time research is only solvable for a few days, so it’s best to start quickly.
How to redeem the promo code in Pokémon GO?
Currently, you have to take the detour through the Pokémon GO web store on all platforms. Previously, you could still enter codes directly in the game on Android devices, but that is no longer possible.
So proceed as follows:
- Visit the Pokémon GO webstore (here is the link to the Pokémon GO store).
- Log in with your game credentials
- Enter the code
- Claim your reward in the game
You can see if it worked from a push notification that your smartphone should send you. You should also receive a corresponding message in the game itself. Alternatively, you can check the journal to see if a code was successfully redeemed or in the research tab – as that is where the limited-time research will be found.
Don’t be surprised if it takes a few minutes after the redemption notification for the research to appear. Close and reopen the game if nothing appears after redeeming.
What’s next in Pokémon GO? The game is currently fully focused on the Horizons event, for which the code was also released. And, especially importantly: In this event, the Pokémon Forgita appears for the first time, which you can evolve up to Granforgita. However, you need to hatch 7 km eggs and gather a lot of candy for that. But: The effort is worth it. Because in one area of Pokémon GO, Granforgita is considered one of the best Pokémon overall.
