In Pokémon GO, the release of Jirachi seems to be increasingly likely. Dataminers have now found further hints of a possible special research project featuring the mysterious Pokémon.
What points to Jirachi? The new update 0.145.0 is currently being rolled out and dataminers have already taken a close look at it.
In doing so, snippets of code have been found that are intended to show the encounter with Jirachi. There is also a part that hints at a special research project with Jirachi.
Jirachi in Pokémon GO – Is it coming soon?
What is Jirachi anyway? This Pokémon is from Generation 3 and, like Mew and Celebi, is a mythical Pokémon. Mythical Pokémon have always been introduced in Pokémon GO through special research or EX raids so far.
Would a special research project fit? Definitely, Jirachi could be the next Pokémon for a special research project. After all, there has been no more special research since Meltan, which was introduced in November 2018. So it’s time for such research again.
When could it be happening? Many players suspect the release for the GO Fest in Chicago. The event is already set for June 13. It shouldn’t be long now. A special research project has already been announced for this event.
The GO Fest is fitting, as Celebi was introduced with a special research project there in 2018. A few days later, every player was able to complete the special research with Celebi.
How certain is this whole thing? So far, this is only based on the findings of dataminers. Niantic itself has not officially confirmed anything yet.
Nevertheless, things are now slowly moving into the critical phase for Jirachi, as almost everything needed for a release is now in the code. This has always meant that the Pokémon comes into the game shortly afterward.
What do you think? When can we expect the release of Jirachi?
