Trainers in Pokémon GO have been waiting for months to get Hoopa’s unleashed form. With the event “Unleashed Mischief”, it’s finally here. We at MeinMMO looked at how you can get Hoopa (Unleashed) and what special features await you.
What kind of event is this? Since the GO Fest 2021, the mysterious Pokémon Hoopa has repeatedly caused mischief in the game. With the start of the Season of Mischief, it also received its own special research, where trainers could catch the contained version of the monster.
Now the season is coming to an end, and the unleashed form of Hoopa is set to celebrate its release in Pokémon GO. To that end, Niantic has announced a four-day event called “Unleashed Mischief” (via pokemongolive.com).
When does the event start? The Unleashed Mischief event starts today, on November 26, 2021, at 10:00 AM local time. You then have 4 days to take advantage of all the bonuses and features. It will end on Monday, November 29, 2021, at 8:00 PM.
What kind of Pokémon is Hoopa? Hoopa is a mysterious Pokémon from the 6th generation. It belongs to the shapeshifters and can thus take on both the contained and the unleashed form. The contained variant belongs to the Psychic and Ghost types, while the unleashed one belongs to the Psychic and Dark types.
With the help of its golden rings, it can open portals and teleport things from one place to another.

Unleashed Mischief – All Pokémon and Bonuses
As with every Pokémon GO event, there will also be some monsters and bonuses for you during “Unleashed Mischief”. Naturally, the focus is primarily on the mysterious Pokémon Hoopa. We have summarized which monsters and bonuses await you below.
Hoopa (Unleashed)
After trainers in Pokémon GO could catch the contained Hoopa in the special research “Misunderstood Mischief”, many hoped for a release of the unleashed form. This will finally happen during the event “Unleashed Mischief”.
However, the unleashed version will currently not be easy to catch in the game. Similar to Coiffwaff, Hoopa belongs to the shapeshifters, which is why you can change to an unleashed Hoopa. However, you must meet certain requirements to do so.
This is how it should work: To change Hoopa’s form, you first need the Hoopa from the special research “Misunderstood Mischief”. You also have to complete the tasks in the second stage of the new special research “Unleashed Mischief”.
Once you’ve accomplished that, you can switch the form of the mysterious monster. You will only need a certain amount of Hoopa candies and stardust:

Pokémon in Special Raid and Spotlight Hours
During the event, Hoopa will naturally cause a lot of mischief in the game again. For this reason, there will be a raid and a spotlight hour on each of the four event days. We’ve summarized which monsters you will encounter on which day below.

Raid Hours: These take place, as you know from the weekly raid hours, always between 6:00 PM and 7:00 PM local time. During this time you will encounter the following legendary Pokémon in Level 5 raids:

New Special Research “Unleashed Mischief”
As Niantic announced a few days ago, Hoopa is set to receive another special research. This is the research “Unleashed Mischief”, which will be available in the game from the event of the same name.
Who receives this research? The new special research will be given to all trainers who have completed the first special research “Misunderstood Mischief” for Hoopa during this season. Those who do not complete it can also purchase a special ticket in the in-game shop for the research. This will be available there until the end of the Season of Mischief for $4.99.
How much time do you have left to solve the special research “Misunderstood Mischief”? You have until December 1, 2021, at 09:59 AM to complete the first special research with Hoopa. Only trainers who finish by then will secure the new research for free.
