What kind of event is this? During the event, there are special bonuses and bosses for a few hours on Sunday. In the days leading up to the event, you can work towards and unlock special bonuses for Sunday.

Ultra Beasts Arrival Event Overview
When does it start? The event runs worldwide on Sunday. On Saturday, it is active for players in Los Angeles and London. It starts on November 27th at 11:00 AM local time for you and is then active until 5:00 PM.
Which Ultra Beasts appear? The spawns differ by region:
- America: Anego, Masskito, and Schlingking
- Asia-Pacific: Anego, Voltriant, and Schlingking
- Europe: Anego, Schabelle, and Schlingking
- Northern Hemisphere: Katagami
- Southern Hemisphere: Kaguron
Limited Research: In conjunction with the event, there will be limited research focusing on raid battles. You can find the content here on MeinMMO on Sunday.
Additionally, you may encounter the following Pokémon for completing event research tasks:
- Anego
- Masskito
- Schabelle
- Voltriant
- Schlingking
- Kaguron
- Katagami
Event Bonuses: During the event, the following bonuses will be active:
- 1.25 times more XP for winning raid battles against ultra beasts
- Increased chance for XL special candies from local raids
- Up to five free raid passes from gyms during the event and up to 2 hours afterward
But you can further increase the bonuses, though you must show teamwork. Work together from Monday (November 21) to Saturday (November 26) worldwide to unlock additional bonuses.
- 50,000 Trainers invited via referral: All Trainers can pick up a bundle with a Lure Module in the shop.
- 100,000 Trainers invited via referral: During the “Ultra Beasts Arrival: Worldwide” event, all Trainers can use Ultra Balls to catch ultra beasts.
– Open your profile page in the game by tapping on your profile picture
– Now tap the Friends tab at the top
– Now select “Refer”
– Here you can directly “share” the code in other apps or copy it to the clipboard to send it
Niantic explains: “You can only invite friends who do not have an account for the game or have been inactive for 90 days. To receive referral bonuses, the referral code must be redeemed within 72 hours after creation or account signup.”
Further Group Bonuses: If you win a raid battle against an ultra beast, the following Pokémon will appear for a short time around the gym where the raid took place:
- Machoke
- Scyther*
- Magmar*
- Shuppet
- Absol*
- Pichu*
- Frillish
- Dedenne
- For Pichu, the chance for a Shiny is increased under these circumstances
This raid weekend had Niantic announced with teasers in the past days. First, the game’s partners showed cryptic hints for November 26 and 27. Afterwards, the Pokémon GO developer team started a countdown and specifically announced November 27 for a worldwide event.
On November 21, the details of the event were finally revealed.
